ANCIENT GEAR GADJILTRON DRAGON

8 Star/Earth/Machine
ATK 3000/DEF 2000

If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. If you Tribute Summon this card by Tributing 1 of the following monsters, this card gets the appropriate effect:
•Green Gadget: During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points.
•Red Gadget: If this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, inflict 400 damage to your opponent.
•Yellow Gadget: If this card destroys your opponent's monster by battle, inflict 600 damage to your opponent.

Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon

Similar to yesterday's card, but much more powerful. Tributing 2 gadgets may be a problem, but once again Ultimate Offering or Swords of Revealing Light can come to your assistance. Stronghold the Moving Fortress can also provide one of the two tributes if necessary. It may be worth using Premature Burial or Call of the Haunted (on Green Gadget for tribute fodder) to make sure this gets trample, (don't forget that will also put a red gadget into your hand). Even without tributing gadget(s), this card has the very useful "ancient gear" effect of locking down spells and traps when it attacks. Just watch out for Bottomless Trap Hole and Ring of Destruction.

With a 3000 ATK monster, trample is godly. Green Gadget bequeaths this effect to Gadjiltron Dragon, so make full use of it. The two burn effects are conditional, and although they are reasonably sized they are not likely to be as important because you should be doing big battle damage anyway.

This card has an advantage over "Ancient Gear Golem", as it can be special summoned (from the graveyard, or from anywhere else for that matter). It will be without its trample effect when that happens, but the immunity to battle phase spells and traps is easily enough to make it worth reviving.

Rating: 7/10. May be difficult to summon, but well worth it if you can. Even though double-tribute monsters are generally frowned upon, gadgets have enough support to make this playable.

Today’s card of the day is Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon.

Like yesterday’s Card of the day, it too is an Ancient Gear monster with no relevance to the Ancient Gear theme. It is like yesterday’s Card of the Day, except it has two tributes.

The effects are all not worth the means of getting the effect, even the best effect (trample).

I’ll say it again, the Gadgets monsters themselves are a theme. They don't need combos or other support cards, especially two tribute monsters that need to tribute the Gadgets for their effects. Use Monarchs.

BattyMan

Looks like there’s another Gadget tribute monster coming up to bat.

Green Gadget effect: During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points.

You could get the same trample effect out of Ancient gear Golem without having to sacrifice a specific monster. STRIKE ONE!

Red Gadget effect: If this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, inflict 400 damage to your opponent.

400 damage isn’t negligible, not worth a combo that involves two specific cards. STRIKE TWO!

Yellow Gadget effect: If this card destroys your opponent's monster by battle, inflict 600 damage to your opponent.

Inferior to using trample. STRIKE THREE!

And another Gadget Support card strikes out. Run Ancient Gear Golem over this card.

-BattyMan’s Funtime Combo- (Warning: Not for use in competitive play)

The only advantage Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon has over Ancient Gear Golem is that he can be special summoned; in a Creator deck you could take advantage of that. With Creator out, and Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon in your grave, all it takes is a simple discard to summon a 3000 attacker that’s not affected by Sakurestu Armor or Mirror Force.

Ok, here we are again at the end of Week 1 of 2 for the Machine's Revolt Structure deck. Today we are covering the Ultra Rare promotional card in the Structure deck, Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon.

Now this monster, like Ancient Gear Gajiltron Chimera, is another one of the cards that gets special effects when the Gadget monsters are tributed to summon the monster.

Now this monster actually has a very good effect making it almost a playable card. If Green Gadget is tributed for this monster, Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon gets automatic Trample(can inflict damage to defense position monsters). The other two effects are nowhere near as good as the 1st one, because they only deal minimal burn damage under certain conditions.

But the reason this card gets my respect is its very 1st effect. Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon can attack your opponent and cannot respond with a spell or trap. How crazy is that?

Think, a potential 3000 trample monster, who cant be stopped by Spells or Traps when he attacks. Similar to Ancient Gear Golem except for the fact that Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon can be special summoned, whereas Ancient Gear Golem could not.

Now in a gadget deck this card could be very beastly and could end up being a problem dealing with. Bur for example in a Reasoning/Monster Gate deck this card could set the standards for the monsters.

I wont go into detail about the deck, but if you know what Reasoning and Monster Gate do you can only guess.

So overall ill give Ancient Gear Gajiltron Dragon a 7/10 because he's actually playable outside of a gadget deck, and he has no real flaws to him except being two tributes.

That's it for me Ill see you next week!

REVIEW: You can get a max of two affects with this guy. Topped with his Anti- Sak-Armor/Widespread Ruin effect, it's not a bad double tribute for Gadget decks.

But the fact it's sooooo slow and will most likely get Smashed anyway is what keep this guy from the top.

Nice card though, and a decent structure deck holo.

Rating: 2.89/5
